I used group policy preferences to supercede C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\User Account Pictures\user.bmp with our logo. User.bmp is the default image, assuming everyone already gets that simply supercede it. No need to practise information technology under user configuration since you're wanting it for anybody.

So I replace the user.bmp on the domain controller?
In Grouping Policy Management, create or edit a grouping policy object. Go to Computer Configuration, Preferences, Windows Settings, Files. Right click and choose New File. The Action needs to exist gear up to Supersede. For the source file, point to the new user.bmp, and for the destination, merely put the path I gave to a higher place. I'd as well get under the Common tab and bank check "Apply once and do not reapply".
The new user.bmp needs to be on a share accessible by authenticated users - similar to deploying software via group policy.
This method works great. You'll demand to be sure Vista and XP clients have Client Side Extensions installed, which is uncomplicated with WSUS.

I can't really tell from the image y'all attached - if that's Vista, make sure the client side extensions are installed, or GPP can't happen. If it's 7 there's nothing actress to install.

I'm wondering if at that place is a way to push out our company logo to fix the users contour pic with grouping policy. I have looked and have only found ways to do it through reckoner admin templates but I really desire to practice information technology through users admin templates. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Make certain you applied the policy to an OU, go ahead and right click on the policy inside the OU and select "Enforced." Then open a command prompt and type in "gpupdate"
See if that fixes it...
