Add or remove members from your Family Sharing grouping on iPhone

In a Family Sharing group, the organizer tin can add family unit members who accept an Apple ID. The organizer, a parent, or a guardian can add a child to the group and create an Apple ID for them.

The family organizer can remove members or disband the group, and family members who aren't teens with parental controls or children can remove themselves. Children need to be moved to some other Family Sharing group if you remove them from your group or disband the group. Add a family member with an Apple ID

The organizer of the Family Sharing group tin add together a family member who has their own Apple ID.

Go to Settings > [your proper noun] > Family Sharing, then tap Add together Fellow member.
Tap Invite People, then follow the onscreen instructions.

Y'all can send the invitation using AirDrop, Messages, or Postal service. If you're near the family fellow member, you tin likewise tap Invite in Person and inquire the family unit member to enter their Apple tree ID and password on your device.

Create an Apple ID for a child

If a child is too young to create their own Apple ID, the organizer, a parent, or a guardian tin can add the child to the Family Sharing group and create an Apple ID for them.

Go to Settings > [your proper noun] > Family Sharing.
Do one of the following:
- If you're the organizer: Tap Add together Member, tap Create an Business relationship for a Child, so follow the onscreen instructions.
- If you're a parent or guardian: Tap Add together Kid, then follow the onscreen instructions.

Remove a fellow member from a family grouping

The organizer of a Family Sharing group can remove other members. When a family member is removed, they immediately lose admission to any shared content and subscriptions.

Go to Settings > [your proper noun] > Family unit Sharing.
Tap [member's name], so tap Remove [member'due south name] from Family.

Leave a Family Sharing grouping

When you leave a Family Sharing grouping, you stop sharing your purchases and subscriptions with family members and immediately lose access to any content they've shared.

Note: The organizer tin can't get out the Family Sharing grouping. If y'all want to change the organizer, y'all must disband the group, and have another adult create a new one.

Go to Settings > [your name] > Family Sharing.
Tap [your proper noun], then tap Stop Using Family unit Sharing.

Disband a Family Sharing grouping

The organizer can disband a family group. When a Family Sharing group is disbanded, all members immediately lose access to the shared content and subscriptions.
